The Poet: Caroline Gourlay
In her essay entitled “Some Thoughts on the Writing of Haiku and Other Poems,” Caroline writes
“Every good haiku points to the here and now, whether it deals with a moment relating to nature, or human nature, or successfully links the two – moments of intense awareness that can only be arrived at during those comparatively rare moments when we are truly living in the present”
Kacian, Jim ed. The Loose Thread: The Red Moon Anthology of English Language Haiku. 2001. Winchester, VA: Red Moon Press, 2002.

Artist: Sara Philpott
Based in mid-Wales, Sara is a painter and print maker exhibiting mainly in London and selected Welsh galleries. Much of her print making work has been published with private presses and her original prints use innovative monotype techniques combined with etching and relief printing. Printing is seen as a means of applying ink to paper from a painter's point of view: Printmaking strongly influences her painting both compositionally and in terms of multilayering.

Highly recommended!
